A low-scale retail lane wrestles visually with a massive residential building beyond. The horizontal and vertical elements of this building are fashioned to look like triangular wooden shapes, though they are actually steel rain-screen elements factory painted to resemble wood. It was likely constructed between 2020-2024 - and replaced several one-story buildings. There was a delightful Blue Bottle coffee shop in its base, which we visited, with evidence of high-fashion cafe klatch activity taking place.
