MEIJI JINGU MUSEUM 明治神宮 TOKYO
14x11
Straight lines benefiting the analysis of another beautiful building by Kengo Kuma - an Imperial family museum, located adjacent to the Meiji Jungu shrine in Tokyo. These eaves are so razor thin and built of steel, that I couldn’t help staring and wondering if there isn’t someone closer to home who is ready for a building like this. Beyond the quiet entryway, the museum sits quietly glazed and elevated within the surrounding forest floor.
The Meiji Jingu Museum by Kengo Kuma is carefully tucked away in the forest.
Floating above the forest. Razor sharp eaves and an amazing combination of traditional Japanese detailing, updated.
