Todai-ji temple 東大寺 Nara

This beautiful building is the home of the Vairocana Buddha, a massive bronze Buddha plated in gold. Nara is famous for the beautiful Sika deer that populate the park, but beware that they love eating, alot. See unfortunate video, below.

These deer are generally very docile, until you pull out the ‘deer crackers.’ After that, anything goes. I recommend avoiding the crackers.
